The Love Handles was formed when a group of Cambridge-based musical lowlifes (i.e. students) had an impromptu jam session at a party in March 1994. Within two weeks they were nervously performing their first gig, and over ten years and a hundred gigs (and remarkably few changes to the set list) later they are still going strong.

The band is built around a core of piano, bass drums, guitar and vocals with a selection of brass to suit the size of the gig (or more often the amount of space we have to set up in!). While some of the original faces have now either gone professional (Highly recommended! www.ollywedgwood.com) or moved to Oz (www.boardacres.blogspot.com) and NZ (http://potter-ellis.spaces.live.com), others have had their time away and have come back fresh and ready to play through to the midnight hour...
